We certainly had some really close matchups!
I’ll be honest, I was pretty surprised by this result!
The #16 seeds being voted in certainly had an aura of mystery – if they were voted in, they must be pretty well regarded among the voters, so it was hard to predict if a #16 seed was actually going to take down a #1 seed. In the end, they all fell, but not without a fight. Tendrils of Agony, Mother of Runes, and Thalia all took over 30% of the vote. Not bad for a #16 seed.
City of Traitors vs Punishing Fire was definitely the closest vote in this round. I mean…it was decided by five votes!
Round of 32
Let’s take a look at some of the matchups in this Round of 32 – it only gets more difficult from here!
Life from the Loam just can’t get away from its friends – it had to eliminate Chalice of the Void last round, and it has to now face its good friend Punishing Fire? It’s like Battle Royale in here!
Delver versus Storm is one of the classic Legacy matchups, and we have it here. These are two fairly strong contenders for the region and possibly the title, so who will prevail in this round?
Two sources of card selections for non-blue decks are pit against each other this round. They even are in the same deck sometimes (Nic Fit and Green 12 Post)!
More friend vs friend battles – this time, hardcore Storm players must decide between the Diamond or the Petal.
