Owner Justin Beal posted this message on Facebook to update the Tucson community on the recently-closed Magic Tower Games.
Just wanted to let everyone know that A2Z Games will soon be opening up in the location previously occupied by Magic Tower Games. We are currently negotiating final terms and conditions for the lease and as soon as we can get in there and set up, you will see it here first.
I wanted to introduce everyone to the Daytime Manager and Co-Owner of A2Z Games… … Mr. Andrew Hanson!!! He will be running the store during the day and I will be managing it at night and on the weekends. Andrew is well known in the Tucson and AZ Magic community (and if you don’t know who he is, you should stop by once we are opened to meet him and us!) and I am very happy to have him on board.
Unfortunately, the leasing company was not able to move as fast as I was initially lead to believe and we will not be having a Friday Night Magic event at the store this week. I am still hopeful for next week, but that remains to be seen. If you are looking for a place to play FNM, I know Amazing Discoveries will be open for FNM and I encourage those that want to to play there until we are able to open our doors soon.
It was a busy day and many more plans were put in place (that we can talk about soon, I hope) so hopefully in the very near future we will have our northern Tucson gaming location up and running again.
